Bell Investment Advisors is excited to announce their partnership with Rebuilding Together Oakland (RTO) for a fourth consecutive year. A local affiliate of the national nonprofit association, RTO has served the community for over 20 years. RTO has provided a helping hand to low-income seniors as well as the disabled. Offering home repairs and upgrades free of charge, RTO seeks to help those who own their homes but cannot afford to maintain them adequately.
In April, Bell and the law firm, Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean, worked together to rebuild the home of 85-year-old Eunice who runs a licensed day care agency out of her home. The improvements provided to Eunice’s home were: priming and painting the outside of the house, painting two rooms, completely landscaping the front yard, creating a garden with mulch, plants and an irrigation drip system surrounded by a keystone border, sanding and painting the back deck, removing dirt and weeds from the driveway, building a fence in the backyard, adding a raised planter box for vegetables, and repairing the garage door and the garage door opener. The final result is a safer and more comfortable home for the owner and her day care business.
Since 2011 Bell Investment Advisors has been sponsoring and staffing Rebuilding Together Oakland projects. Laurent Harrison CFP®, Investment Advisor, Financial Planner at Bell serves as Vice President of the RTO board.

RTO, established in 1993, with 200 fellow Rebuilding Together affiliates across the country and approximately 70,000 volunteers, has raised millions of dollars and renovated hundreds of homes belonging to low income seniors and the disabled, as well as community facilities that serve people in need.
National Rebuilding Day occurs every April; most projects require two or more Saturdays. It is the culmination of a years worth of planning, volunteer recruitment, and developing community sponsorships to change homeowners’ lives across the country. Rebuilding Together affiliates restore hope and pride in communities as numerous rehabilitations occur on a single day to create high-impact momentum for the rest of the year.
