On May 22, 2018 Jim Bell, CFP®, President and Founder of Bell Investment Advisors, addressed members of the Oakland Chamber of Commerce regarding the new Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and its impacts on philanthropy. Over thirty members of the Chamber were in attendance, including representatives from notable local nonprofits. Jim guided attendees through the law’s effect on charities and estates and detailed how charitable giving might be influenced.
