Ramsay Leimenstoll
Hidden Talent: Playing traditional folk songs on her great-grandfather's banjo ukulele
Inspiration: Building connections in her local community and getting to know her neighbors
Ramsay originally joined Bell in 2016 as the firm’s Paraplanner, and is now in the role of Financial Advisor and takes lead on reviewing and developing the firm’s financial planning best practices.
As a “people person”, she loves getting to know clients through the financial planning process and meeting with them at reviews. Her passion is to demystify personal finance, to help develop a financial plan which truly reflects their own values, and to bring them peace and confidence in their financial future.
Ramsay grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, and after high school moved 13 hours north to attend Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. While at Smith, she majored in Comparative Literature, spending her Junior Year Abroad in Paris to study French literature. Following graduation, she worked in Turkey for a year teaching English on a Fulbright.
During her senior year at Smith, Ramsay stumbled across weekly “Women and Financial Independence” luncheons led by an economics professor in the campus library. Having previously assumed that personal finance topics weren’t something that your average citizen could understand, she found these weekly presentations fascinating and empowering. This realization led to a passion for educating others about personal finance. Though her early career initially took a winding path through publishing, marketing, and UI/UX design, she ultimately made the leap to Financial Planning and was thrilled to join Bell Investment Advisors in 2016. She holds the Series 65 securities license.
Ramsay and her husband love spending time enjoying the Bay Area’s myriad delicious restaurants and exploring its quieter streets and hiking trails with their dog, Friday. They have previously fostered rescue dogs (18 to date) and still enjoy volunteering. They welcomed a son in 2024, and Ramsay hopes to impart to him not only her financial acumen, but also her passion for jigsaw puzzles, reading, and Gordo’s burritos – as well as her certainty that North Carolina beaches are superior to California ones.
