Bell Investment Advisors, a Bay Area registered investment advisory firm, today announced they will be hosting a free webinar, How the November Election Results Could Affect Your Portfolio, on September 26, 2012, 2–2:30 PM PDT. The event is part of the firm’s ongoing educational series providing informational webinars on current topics related to Investment Management, Financial Planning, and Career/Life Coaching.
The discussion will review how each candidate’s policy could affect your investments and will provide significant insight on preparing your portfolio for the fiscal cliff. The topics covered will also provide an evaluation of historical market performance leading into an election.
“It’s not just the Presidential election that you should be keeping your eye on as a stock investor. You should be paying close attention to Congressional elections too,” said Matt King CFA, Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director of Bell Investment Advisors. “Although stocks have performed better historically under Democratic rather than Republican presidents, they have done even better when Republicans control Congress. However when you combine the two—in which there is a Democratic President and a Republican Congress—it has proven to be the best combination for the stock market.”
Jim Bell CFP®, President and Founder, and Matt King CFA, Chief Investment Officer of the firm will conduct the September 26 webinar. There will be an opportunity for participants to have their questions answered at the end of the presentation.
Registration for the event is now open at: https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/724736914. Space is limited.
