OAKLAND, CA. May 6, 2010 – Bell Investment Advisors, Inc., announced today that Dana Nelson, the firm’s Portfolio Manager, has received the Richard P. Arzaga 2010 Outstanding Student Award from UC Berkeley Extension’s Personal Financial Planning program. He is completing his coursework in the two-year program.
Nelson, a graduate of Cal-Poly, San Luis Obispo, received the Arzaga award for outstanding academic performance, leadership, and participation outside the classroom. He was instrumental in establishing the program’s first Student Advisory Board and will become the official Board Chair in the coming year.
The UC Berkeley Extension Personal Financial Planning program, established in 1981, qualifies its graduates to sit for the Certified Financial Planner® Exam (http://www.cfp.net).
