Jonathan Charles “Jon” Cozart, known by his online alias Paint, is an American YouTube personality, musician, and comedian. Bonnie and Jim Bell, long-time supporters of the Oakland Symphony, are underwriting Cozart’s special appearance at the Symphony’s February 9 concert, “Pride & Prejudice: Notes from LGBTQ”.
Jim had this to say about their sponsorship:
It is important to both my wife Bonnie and to me to support the innovative programming that Maestro Michael Morgan assembles for each concert of the Oakland Symphony. We love the opportunity to support Jon Cozart. He is amazing on You Tube; my granddaughter and I enjoyed his 99-second summary of the whole Harry Potter saga. What a fresh talent!
The Oakland Symphony’s website includes the following information about the artist:
Cozart’s video Harry Potter in 99 seconds helped him become a YouTube phenomenon with over four million followers.

His live performance of musical comedy was well-reviewed by attendees, stating “Jon Cozart delights with his witty, heartfelt music.” In 2016, Cozart joined fellow YouTube musicians Dodie Clark, Tessa Violet, and Rusty Clanton for selected shows of the small and intimate Transatlantic Tour along the east coast. In 2017, he hosted the 2017 Streamy Awards
