Every year, representatives of the Bell Investment Advisors financial planning staff attend the Financial Planning Association NorCal Conference in San Francisco as part of a continuing desire to maintain the highest standards of excellence in Bell’s financial planning practices, as well as to pursue ongoing professional education.
On May 29 and 30 of this year, Forrest Bell, CFP® and Laurent Harrison, CFP®, both Senior Investment Advisors and Financial Planners at Bell, were among the 600 who attended the two-day nationally-known conference, considered by many to be the gold standard of FP conferences, and now in its 46th year. Forrest noted that a good number of the godfathers of financial planning are from our own Northern California. At this year’s conference, Laurent was particularly inspired by one of the four keynote speakers, Rosie Rios, 43rd Treasurer of the United States. (Check for her signature right there on your bills). She is a powerhouse for feminist issues and for young women financial planners, as well as for female clients. Watch for upcoming projects of hers featuring women in history.
