Make Informed Decisions as Your Career Advances
Most people see no conflict in seeking professional help from doctors, lawyers, and financial advisors. However, when it comes to career coaching, there’s a general attitude of “I can do it myself!” At Bell Investment Advisors, we hold the view that your career is one of your most important financial assets, and as such, it benefits from your active management.
Why Invest in Career Coaching?
A career coach, like an athletic coach, helps facilitate change and has the specialized skill set to see you in a way you may not be able see yourself. They provide tools, perspective, and support to help you reach your full potential. Active management of your career means bringing your “best self” to work every day, and understanding that your day-to-day performance is an audition for your next promotion. Nearly all successful professionals leverage their reputation into professional growth and opportunity.
What Career Coaching Addresses
The questions of investing and financial planning are inherent in career development. Questions like: What’s working? What’s not working? How can you address current and future career hurdles? It can be difficult to identify the answers to these questions, and even more of a challenge to create an actionable plan once identified. A career coach helps you gain clarity, overcome fear, and develop an actionable professional development plan.
With the guidance of an experienced career coach, you can discover your true capabilities:
- Leadership potential
- Learn how to make strategic decisions
- Navigate personal and professional challenges
- Improve communication
- Effectively manage time
- Create a relevant resume
- Prepare for interviews
- Eliminate fear of public speaking
- Produce and track results
Our Career Coaching Process
Our first step is a complimentary coaching session by phone or virtual meeting. During this session, you’ll tell us about your situation, and together we’ll determine if working together will help accomplish your goals. If we move forward with coaching, you’ll embark on a series of 60-minute sessions, every two weeks, for a 6-12 month period.
