Hidden Talent: rock climbing

Inspiration: long hikes and visiting third world countries

Heidi became a member of the Bell Team in 2014. With twelve years of Financial Services experience, she serves as an Investment Advisor for individuals, couples and businesses. Heidi enjoys developing meaningful relationships with her clients, and is committed to creating space for conversations that are clear, effective, and genuine. She is a member of Bell’s Investment Committee as well as the Financial Planning team. She also has helped to develop Bell’s Socially Responsible investment strategy, and is a leading member of The Women’s Roundtable.

Heidi was born and raised in Pleasant Hill, California. She recalls an impactful event in her life at age eight, when her father took her to the local Bank of America where he helped her open a savings account. From that day forward, she became fascinated with personal finance.  Heidi still has that Bank of America savings register, and has retained a passion for financial education.

Prior to joining the Bell team, Heidi served as an Investment Advisor for J.D. Mellberg Financial, and as a Branch Operations Associate with UBS Wealth Management where she became knowledgeable about brokerage services and practices. She has also worked as a Program Coordinator for United Way, bringing income tax preparation services to low-income individuals.  After Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, as a financial counselor for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Heidi worked directly with disaster victims, assisting them to obtain federal aid and financial services.

Heidi graduated from the University of Arizona in Tucson in 2004, where she majored in Finance. She holds a Series 65 securities license and a California Life and Health insurance license.

Away from work, Heidi enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters. She is an avid hiker, most recently completing the Rim to Rim hike in the Grand Canyon. She also enjoys serving as a mentor for The East Bay College Fund, which supports first-generation college students from Oakland Public Schools through the collegiate process.
