Joined Bell: 2008
Hidden Talent: great conversationalist, storyteller, and comic (as determined by consensus of the Bell Team)
Inspiration: triumph over adversity

As a keen observer of people and a determined problem-solver, Jerene takes pride in developing positive relationships with clients, anticipating their needs, and helping them avert potential problems. Her goal each day is to offer innovative solutions to any problems that arise for clients, and to provide superior client service.

Jerene was raised in a rural area of Missouri and received her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She moved to Alameda, California after college to escape the humid summers and snowy winters. There she met her husband, had two daughters, and never looked back. She holds a Series 65 license and in the past held both Series 6 and 63 licenses.

In her free time, Jerene is a voracious reader, and enjoys cooking and entertaining her friends and family. She is a long-time fan of classical ballet and tap dancing. As an adult she took up tap dancing and entertained audiences for over 15 years. She was a long-time volunteer for the Oakland Ballet and Oakland Ballet Academy, where her younger daughter studied dance; and is a passionate supporter of public education and public broadcasting. She also volunteers each year for the Oakland Museum’s White Elephant Sale.
